About the position

The Sales Associate at Game Kastle Sacramento is a temporary and seasonal role focused on engaging with the gaming community, assisting customers with tailored product recommendations, and managing inventory. The position involves working closely with a passionate team to create a vibrant gaming environment and run events related to various tabletop games.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored product recommendations.
• Utilize retail math skills to assist with inventory management, stock replenishment, and sales reporting.
• Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
• Demonstrate effective communication skills both in-person and over the phone, maintaining professional phone etiquette.
• Implement upselling techniques to enhance customer purchases and increase overall sales.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing store environment that aligns with company standards.
• Create new and exciting events for the community and stay updated on the latest trading card games, board games, and RPGs.

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred but not required.
• Strong understanding of retail math concepts and ability to apply them in daily operations.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect with customers effectively.
• Proven ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly.
• Proficient with the use of Google Drive and Excel spreadsheets.
• A proactive approach to upselling products.
• Social media proficiency in Discord, Facebook, and Google.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in retail sales (1 year preferred)
• Customer service experience (2 years preferred)
