About The Position
The Sales Associate will assist customers with purchasing merchandise. This role involves greeting and interacting with customers, consulting with them to understand their needs and preferences related to available merchandise, and demonstrating and explaining product features. The Sales Associate will also emphasize product features, quote prices and credit terms, and prepare sales orders. Additionally, the role includes retrieving desired merchandise from the sales floor or yard, placing special orders when necessary, and building and maintaining customer relationships by entering new customer data into a computer database. The Sales Associate will assist customers in resolving complaints, investigate and resolve customer problems with products or services, and operate the cash register accurately. Other responsibilities include processing returns and exchanges, assisting with stocking and restocking products, and performing other related duties as assigned.
