About the position

The Sales Associate at Lilly Pulitzer is responsible for assisting with the daily operations of the retail store, focusing on sales, customer service, and safeguarding store assets. This role requires a strong understanding of the brand and its merchandise, as well as the ability to engage with customers effectively to drive sales and maintain inventory integrity.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the daily operation of the Lilly Pulitzer retail store.
• Present and sell merchandise consistent with the brand.
• Greet each customer and provide appropriate sales assistance.
• Know the merchandise on the floor and suggest items to customers.
• Provide suggestions to management for merchandising improvements.
• Build a personal client book.
• Use the EREG POS software system effectively for transactions and inventory management.
• Safeguard the assets of the store and maintain inventory integrity.
• Prevent inventory shrink and assist in cycle counts and year-end inventory.
• Operate the store in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Provide ideas to grow and improve the business.

Requirements

• Prior experience in a retail store is required.
• A four-year college degree is preferred but not required.
• Sufficient fashion credibility to sell merchandise to customers.
• Initiative and self-assurance to approach and sell to customers comfortably.
• High level of dedication and commitment to operate the store dependably.
• Flexibility in schedule to accommodate retail hours.
• Ability to operate with an automated point of sale system.
• Detail orientation necessary for cash reconciliation and inventory management.
