About the position

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and a strong ability to engage with customers, providing them with product knowledge and support. As a Sales Associate, you will play a crucial role in driving sales and ensuring an exceptional shopping experience for our customers.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs.
• Demonstrate product features and benefits through engaging product demos.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Process transactions accurately using the cash register, handling cash and credit card payments efficiently.
• Upsell products by identifying opportunities to promote additional items that complement customer purchases.
• Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, ensuring that products are well-stocked and displayed attractively.
• Supervise junior staff members when required, providing guidance and support to enhance team performance.
• Utilize basic math skills to manage transactions and ensure accurate cash handling.
• Stay informed about current promotions, store policies, and product offerings to effectively assist customers.

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not required.
• Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on phone etiquette when handling inquiries.
• Ability to engage with customers effectively, demonstrating a genuine interest in helping them find the right products.
• Experience with cash registers or point-of-sale systems is advantageous.
• Familiarity with upselling techniques and product demonstrations is a plus.
