About the position
As a sales associate at World Market, you will delight shoppers with everything for extraordinary gift giving, entertaining, and decorating. Your responsibilities will include providing exceptional customer service, cashiering, merchandising, stocking merchandise, maintaining visual standards, and delivering curbside orders to customers. You will assist customers utilizing World Market service standards and represent the World Market brand. Additionally, you will stock merchandise according to visual standards, schematics, and safety standards, cashier according to customer service guidelines, maintain stockroom and sales floor organization, adhere to loss prevention policies, and perform general housekeeping as directed by management. You may also be required to physically unload trucks as needed.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers utilizing World Market service standards and represent the World Market brand.
- Stock merchandise according to visual standards, schematics, visual direction, pricing standards, productivity, and safety standards.
- Cashier according to customer service guidelines and register procedures.
- Maintain the stockroom and sales floor organization and standards.
- Adhere to all Company loss prevention policy and procedures, and distressed merchandise procedures.
- Perform general housekeeping as directed by management.
- Physically unload trucks as needed.
Requirements
- A can-do attitude and commitment to contributing to a collaborative, open-minded, adaptable, honest, and respectful culture.
- 1 year of experience in retail preferred, but not required.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- Ability to initiate a conversation.
- Minimum age of 16 years.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
