About the position

The Sales Associate at DG ACE is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a well-organized retail environment. The role emphasizes engaging with customers, understanding their needs, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. Associates are expected to uphold the company's core values and contribute to a team-oriented atmosphere while executing daily operational goals.

Responsibilities

• Help unload incoming trucks and put away merchandise as arranged by management.
• Maintain assigned department by keeping it clean, organized, and fully stocked.
• Execute daily operational goals and priorities assigned by store management with a sense of urgency.
• Cooperate with team members and actively participate in daily huddle meetings.
• Remove promotional bin tags and price tags as required following sales events.
• Restock merchandise displays and monitor end caps and side wings.
• Handle special orders for non-stock items and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Monitor for shoplifting and take appropriate action according to company policy.
• Provide excellent customer service by being helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly.
• Greet customers within five feet and maintain a polite demeanor at all times.
• Promote the Ace Rewards program and maintain awareness of promotions and advertisements.
• Assist customers with large or heavy items as needed.
• Participate in training and development of peers.

Requirements

• Strong organizational skills with a passion for details.
• Willingness to learn all areas of the store and assist in training others.
• Proven track record of being a team player.
• Knowledge and experience in various departments is strongly desired.
• Availability must be flexible, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Bilingual (Spanish) verbal and written communication skills preferred.
