About the position

The Sales Associate at Cigar DC, Inc. is responsible for providing an exceptional guest experience in the humidor and smoking lounges. This part-time role emphasizes exemplary service, product knowledge, and relationship building with customers, while also serving as a brand ambassador for Casa de Montecristo. The associate will work collaboratively with the team to meet sales and KPI goals, maintain store operations, and uphold brand standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide a world-class guest experience in the humidor and smoking lounges through exemplary service and selling skills.
• Serve as a Casa de Montecristo brand ambassador.
• Build relationships with customers.
• Proactively communicate product features, benefits, and promotional information.
• Demonstrate a tenacious drive for results and accountability as a tobacconist.
• Work as part of a team to exceed sales and KPI goals.
• Develop and maintain strong knowledge of Casa de Montecristo products.
• Assist in the complete operations of the store.
• Execute corporate initiatives in a timely and efficient manner.
• Follow all Casa de Montecristo policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Maintain visual and cleanliness standards to support the brand image.
• Ensure a comfortable, responsible, and safe environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a retail, hospitality, or service-centric environment.
• 2 years of retail sales, customer service, and POS experience.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong communication skills with a professional presence.
• Ability to build relationships with guests and coworkers.
• Cigar knowledge is a plus.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
