About the position

As a Sales Associate at Lands' End, you will be an integral part of a talented team dedicated to providing exceptional service to our customers. Your role will involve representing the Lands' End brand in a professional, courteous, and helpful manner, enhancing the overall customer experience while driving profitable sales. You will utilize your product expertise and advanced selling skills to meet customer needs and suggest outfitting options that encourage multiple unit sales. This position is part-time, with an expected commitment of approximately 25 hours per week, allowing for flexibility in your schedule while still contributing significantly to the store's success. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of customer service, which includes greeting customers warmly, adjusting your approach based on store traffic, and providing tailored solutions based on individual customer interests. You will also be expected to maintain a thorough knowledge of the Lands' End website, using it as a resource for customers when products are unavailable in-store. Efficiently processing customer transactions through the POS and online systems is a key responsibility, ensuring that all sales, returns, and exchanges are handled according to authorized procedures. Additionally, you will keep abreast of Lands' End products, services, and current fashion trends to enhance your customer service capabilities and drive sales. Your duties will also include performing markdowns and promotional activities as needed, managing stock replenishment, and adhering to visual brand standards to create an inviting shopping environment.

Responsibilities

  • Drives sales by utilizing approved consultative selling practices to identify customer needs and provide appropriate solutions.
  • Provides the highest degree of customer service, including greeting customers and adjusting attention based on store traffic.
  • Maintains knowledge of Lands' End website navigation to assist customers when products are unavailable in-store.
  • Processes customer transactions efficiently using the POS and online system, including sales, returns, and exchanges.
  • Maintains knowledge of Lands' End products and services, along with current fashion trends to enhance customer service.
  • Performs markdown and other promotional activities as needed.
  • Responsible for stock replenishment and adhering to visual brand standards.

Requirements

  • Excellent selling skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and fellow employees.
  • Ability to receive feedback and take action when appropriate.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and meet deadlines on projects/tasks.
  • Flexible and adaptable to change.
  • Knowledge of Lands' End merchandise is strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience in retail is strongly preferred.
  • Availability and flexibility to work varied hours to support the needs of the business.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift boxes up to 40 pounds.
