Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and assisting with product selection.
• Operate cash registers efficiently, handling cash transactions and ensuring accurate cash handling practices.
• Maintain stock levels by restocking shelves, organizing merchandise, and conducting inventory checks as needed.
• Utilize retail math skills to assist customers with pricing inquiries and product promotions.
• Engage in upselling techniques to enhance sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding inventory needs and customer feedback.
• Uphold store standards by maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the sales floor.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a grocery store or retail environment is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong understanding of retail math concepts for effective pricing and inventory management.
• Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills to assist customers both in-person and over the phone.
• Ability to operate cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately.
• Experience with stock management and merchandising is an advantage.
• A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn are essential for success in this role.
