About the position

Hallmark Casework is seeking talented sales associates to join their dynamic team in Houston and Austin. The role focuses on developing relationships and driving sales for laboratory furniture, equipment, and architectural interior specialties across various market segments including education, healthcare, and government. The position requires collaboration with project stakeholders and management to achieve sales goals and ensure project timelines are met.

Responsibilities

  • Develop relationships and make sales for laboratory furniture, laboratory equipment, architectural woodwork/millwork, and interior specialties within educational, industrial, healthcare, pharmaceutical, and government market segments.
  • Identify and qualify leads and opportunities.
  • Provide pre-construction guidance and budgetary support for potential opportunities.
  • Interpret construction documents.
  • Collaborate closely with project stakeholders to understand design requirements and specifications.
  • Coordinate with management and estimating team to formulate bid strategies.
  • Prepare and deliver proposals.
  • Achieve sales goals and business development objectives.
  • Act as project executive for closed-opportunities, coordinating closely with operations team.
  • Coordinate with team members to maintain project timelines and meet deadlines.
  • Keep up to date with industry trends, advancements, and methodologies.

Requirements

  • A degree or certification in business administration, construction management, or related fields, or equivalent demonstrable work experience.
  • Experience in preconstruction.
  • Experience in competitive bidding.
  • Experience with interior specialties (divisions 6, 10, 11, or 12 preferred).
  • Ability to travel as necessary (Texas).
  • Proficiency with Bluebeam.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft products, notably Excel.
  • Familiarity with AEC applications such as Building Connected, Dodge, ISqFt, Procore, and Autodesk Construction Cloud.
  • Ability to navigate, read, and comprehend architectural drawings, blueprints, and related construction documents.
  • Ability to interpret architectural plans, sketches, and specifications.
  • Strong understanding of design principles and construction methods.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities to meet project deadlines.
