About the position

The Sales & Business Development Manager at NMDP BioTherapies is a remote, customer-facing role responsible for achieving annual sales goals by securing contracts with Cell and Gene Therapy developers. This position plays a crucial role in promoting life-saving cell therapies and requires a deep understanding of the marketplace, strong relationship-building skills, and the ability to articulate the value proposition of NMDP BioTherapies.

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate and build a sales pipeline in the Cell and Gene Therapy marketplace.
  • Close contracts with clients on financial terms to ensure the financial viability of the organization.
  • Develop and implement account strategies to drive revenue growth for NMDP BioTherapies.
  • Engage in customer-facing activities that demonstrate mastery of subject matter in cell and gene therapy.
  • Cultivate a partnering ecosystem to efficiently develop and deliver cell therapies to clients.
  • Contribute to the Sales and Business Development team in meeting or exceeding annual goals.
  • Build relationships with Product Management and Marketing to guide new product development.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Finance, and Client Engagement teams to construct proposals and contracts.
  • Represent the mission of NMDP and NMDP BioTherapies externally through speaking engagements and content development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in life sciences.
  • 5 years of experience in the cell and gene therapy marketplace with a strong network of sales contacts.
  • Experience leading complex, highly technical, long cycle sales campaigns for at least 5 years.
  • Demonstrated track record of success in closing deals on favorable financial terms.
  • Strong business and technical writing skills, independent problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, networking, and negotiating skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of business analysis is a strong plus.
