About the position

The Sales Business Development Representative (BDR) at Trout Software is responsible for driving lead generation and outreach to manufacturers in the Hudson Valley and New York state. This role involves building relationships with IT professionals, understanding their unique challenges, and effectively communicating how Trout's innovative technology can support their security and digitalization goals. The BDR will own the sales process from prospecting to closing new accounts, while also having opportunities for career growth within the company.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively reach out to manufacturers across Hudson Valley and NY state, setting up meetings with IT professionals.
  • Visit factory floors to understand the unique challenges manufacturers face in their IT.
  • Drive the sales process from prospecting to setting up initial conversations and qualifying leads.
  • Act as the face of Trout to potential clients, building genuine relationships.
  • Close new accounts and business, while seeking opportunities for career advancement.

Requirements

  • Some experience in sales or business development preferred but not required.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Willingness to learn about Trout's product suite and the manufacturing IT space.

Benefits

  • Compensation ranging from $72,000 to $115,000 OTE depending on experience.
  • 25 days of holiday.
  • Ability to work remotely 2 days a week.
