About the position

The Sales & Business Development Representative will play a crucial role in the Sales & Marketing Teams within the Legal & Regulatory (LR) US division of Wolters Kluwer. This position is designed for an individual who is analytical, metrics-driven, and capable of identifying business challenges and opportunities. The representative will be responsible for identifying target prospects and customers through Salesforce and other marketing automation efforts, serving as the front-line in prospect outreach with the goal of generating qualified opportunities to pursue. In this role, the representative will work closely with the Sales Manager to develop and define a strategic target list of key accounts across various segments. They will be tasked with developing creative tactics and strategies to reach these target prospects, scheduling qualified discovery calls, and generating qualified meetings. The representative will also focus on new logo and net new sales opportunities, working to develop opportunities with named corporate accounts and building White-Label subscription opportunities. The representative will be expected to record and track all activity in Salesforce and OutReach, providing background and next steps for the Marketing and Sales Manager to ensure alignment of teams and effective follow-up with prospects. Additionally, they will create strategic emails to target prospect accounts and conduct ongoing research to identify new leads and obtain contact information. The role requires consistent performance in meeting or exceeding qualified lead and meeting quotas, along with other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Sales Manager to develop and define a strategic target list of key accounts across segments
  • Develop creative tactics and strategies to reach target prospects; schedule qualified discovery calls with said target prospects; generate qualified meetings
  • Work on new logo and net new sales opportunities
  • Work and develop opportunities with named corporate accounts
  • Build White-Label subscription opportunities
  • Record and track all activity in Salesforce and OutReach to provide background and next steps for the Marketing and Sales Manager
  • Create strategic emails to target prospect accounts
  • Conduct ongoing research to identify new leads and obtain contact information
  • Accelerate and enhance the sales cycle in collaboration with Sales Manager
  • Consistently meet or exceed qualified lead/meeting quotas
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or related experience
  • 1+ years' experience of B2B prospecting and sales, having consistently exceeded key performance metrics
  • Direct field & management experience in working with major accounts
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to articulate complex concepts to cross-functional audiences
  • Salesforce.com experience preferred
  • Strong phone prospecting skills, fast-paced and can demonstrate high call volumes.
