About the position

The Sales & Business Development Representative at Pella Products of Kansas City, Inc. is responsible for expanding the customer base and enhancing relationships with existing clients. This role involves proactive prospecting, engaging with clients, and representing the company at various industry events. The ideal candidate will be goal-oriented, skilled in identifying new business opportunities, and committed to providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and enhance relationships with existing customers while actively seeking and acquiring new business opportunities.
  • Address and resolve customer issues effectively, and negotiate conflicts in alignment with company policies.
  • Proactively identify new business opportunities, engage in daily cold calling sessions, and utilize sales tools to drive results.
  • Represent Pella KC at industry events, professional groups, trade association meetings, and builder home shows.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring accurate information and timely follow-up.
  • Maintain comprehensive customer records in SalesForce, including contact details and account data.
  • Stay informed about construction science and industry trends to enhance expertise.
  • Actively advocate for Pella products and services beyond the workplace.

Requirements

  • Experience or knowledge in sales and business development, preferably in the construction or home improvement industry.
  • Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a goal-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software (e.g., SalesForce) and other sales tools.
  • Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Valid Driver's license and ability to pass a background check and drug test.
