About the position

The Sales / Business Development Representative at Geotech Engineering and Testing is responsible for supporting the sales team by managing existing client relationships and acquiring new clients. This role involves initiating contact with potential clients, preparing project proposals, and maintaining accurate contact databases. The representative will also participate in meetings and functions with clients as needed, contributing to the overall growth and success of the business development team.

Responsibilities

  • Initiate calls to existing and potential clients.
  • Prepare proposals for new projects.
  • Generate new leads for the Business Development team.
  • Update and maintain contact databases.
  • Attend meetings and functions with clientele as necessary.
  • Assist with writing proposals and RFQs.
  • Answer incoming sales calls.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED, some college preferred.
  • Marketing and/or customer service experience.
  • Outgoing, pleasant personality.
  • Professional phone etiquette.
  • Self-starter with initiative and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Industry knowledge is a plus, but not required.
  • Teams and Zoom call experience preferred.
  • Must be able to attend meetings in the evenings or sometimes on Saturdays.
