About the position

EnerSys is seeking a Salesforce Sales Cloud Product Owner who will play a crucial role in aligning business objectives with Salesforce solutions. This position is pivotal in managing and executing a Salesforce digital roadmap that enhances employee and customer experiences, ultimately driving revenue growth. The Product Owner will work closely with various lines of business to standardize capabilities and coordinate with other Product Owners to establish a common process for engaging with the business. The role requires a strong understanding of product vision, backlog management, requirements gathering, and user story creation, ensuring that all product features align with business goals. The Product Owner will be responsible for defining product features from a solution perspective, maintaining a prioritized product backlog, and gathering detailed product requirements through collaboration with cross-functional teams. They will break down these requirements into user stories with clear acceptance criteria and coordinate release planning with development teams to ensure efficient releases. Additionally, the Product Owner will track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and drive data-driven decision-making. This role also involves managing documentation related to product architecture and functionality, conducting product research, and developing strong relationships with business stakeholders to understand their priorities. The Product Owner will support continuous improvement and innovation by applying their subject matter expertise in business processes and systems. The position requires effective communication skills to bridge the gap between business stakeholders and development teams, ensuring a shared understanding of product goals and progress.

Responsibilities

  • Define product features from a solution perspective and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Create and maintain a prioritized product backlog, incorporating feedback from business stakeholders.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather and define detailed product requirements.
  • Break down product requirements into user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
  • Coordinate with other POs and the release manager to ensure efficient releases.
  • Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and development teams, explaining user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success.
  • Ensure documentation of architecture, functionality, and data is complete and accurate.
  • Manage time effectively to research new features and functionality of the relevant Cloud environment.
  • Develop strong working relationships with business stakeholders to understand their top priorities.
  • Support the business by applying cross-functional subject matter expertise to facilitate continuous improvement.
  • Analyze data, risk, impacts, scope, and priorities to meet business goals.
  • Collaborate on user documentation and conduct Salesforce product research.
  • Ride along with business users quarterly to understand their needs and challenges.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 2 - 3 years of relevant experience in product management or a related field.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Strong decision-making skills to prioritize features based on business value.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to optimize the Salesforce platform.
  • Understanding of UX principles to ensure user-friendly platform design.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, including SQL and Excel.
  • Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau.
  • Basic understanding of Salesforce customization and configuration options.
