About the position

The Sales Compensation Analyst at Amazon Web Services (AWS) will support the administration of the IBM ICM (Varicent) compensation system for sales incentive-eligible employees globally. This role focuses on driving operational improvements in compensation processes, ensuring accurate and timely payouts, and collaborating with various internal teams to maintain effective compensation methodologies and policies.

Responsibilities

  • Support the day-to-day administration of sales compensation.
  • Validate data and quantify impact through data analysis, communicating proposed resolutions to leadership.
  • Identify operational risks and engage stakeholders to frame issues and desired outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with technical teams regarding root causes of issues and business requirements.
  • Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) for process and system updates.
  • Assist with the distribution of incentive compensation plans, including plan setup and revenue adjustments.
  • Ensure compliance with compensation methodologies, policies, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as HR, Tax, and Legal to maintain compensation methodologies in production.
  • Support the global quarterly commission payout process, including manual adjustments and calculations.
  • Create mechanisms to improve process efficiency.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Microsoft Excel experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software.
  • Experience defining, refining, and implementing sales processes, procedures, and policies.
  • Prior sales compensation experience with ICM tools such as Varicent, Xactly, or similar.

Nice-to-haves

  • 5+ years of finance, business management, and sales operations experience.
  • Experience working within a high-growth technology company.
