About the position

The Sales Compensation Analyst at NBC Sports Next is responsible for managing all sales commission activities and supporting the Go-to-Market teams. This role involves developing and implementing sales compensation structures, analyzing sales performance data, overseeing compensation management systems, and ensuring compliance with legal requirements. The analyst will also communicate insights and recommendations to leadership, contributing to the overall success of the sales team.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main point of contact for all sales commission activities.
  • Develop, modify, and implement sales compensation structures and incentive programs in collaboration with key leaders.
  • Analyze sales performance data and compensation metrics to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Oversee sales compensation management systems and related reporting, ensuring accurate calculations and timely distribution of commissions, bonuses, and sales contest payouts.
  • Ensure compensation plans comply with legal requirements in collaboration with HR and Legal teams.
  • Issue and track all commission-related documents to commissionable employees and managers.
  • Maintain all relevant commission plan templates and executed agreements.
  • Support non-compensation-related analysis projects as needed.

Requirements

  • 2+ years in data analytics, data visualization, or data aggregation experience with sales compensation/commission models, preferably in the SAAS industry.
  • Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions, with the ability to optimize existing SQL queries for performance and scalability.
  • Proficiency in Excel including VLOOKUPs, PivotTables, and advanced analytical functionality.
  • Experience supporting Sales functions, either directly or indirectly, is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business Admin, Analytics, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Finance, or related fields.
