About the position

The Sales Compensation Analyst Senior plays a crucial role in the sales operations of Elevance Health, focusing on the analysis and verification of commission incentive payments for sales associates and brokers. This position requires a keen eye for detail and a strong analytical mindset to ensure that compensation payments are accurate and timely. The analyst will utilize a sales incentive system to review and validate commission data, ensuring that all payments align with company policies and contractual obligations. In addition to validating commission data, the Sales Compensation Analyst Senior will be responsible for addressing complex inquiries from sales associates and brokers, providing them with the necessary support and guidance. This role also involves preparing routine and ad hoc reports, which are essential for tracking compensation trends and identifying any discrepancies in payment history. Monthly payment audits are a critical part of the job, requiring the analyst to research issues, review payment history, and gather data to respond to legal or high-priority requests effectively. The analyst will also play a key role in recommending and supporting automated solutions to enhance incentive data applications, ensuring that the systems in place are efficient and effective. Supporting project work and testing after implementation are also part of the responsibilities, as is assessing and identifying issues that may arise, escalating them as necessary, and supporting internal controls to maintain the integrity of the compensation process.

Responsibilities

  • Review and validate commission data to ensure accurate compensation payments.
  • Provide feedback on system problems and changes.
  • Answer complex inquiries from sales associates and/or brokers.
  • Prepare routine and ad hoc reports.
  • Perform monthly payment audits and research issues.
  • Review payment history and gather data for responses to legal or high-priority requests.
  • Recommend and support automated solutions to incentive data applications.
  • Support project work and test after implementation.
  • Provide support and answer questions for staff.
  • Assess and identify issues, escalating as appropriate, and support internal controls.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent with a minimum of 3 years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in incentive administration is preferred.
  • Knowledge of applications with experience in system testing, administration, and controls is preferred.
  • Strong math and analytical skills are strongly preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • BS/BA degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • Experience in incentive administration is preferred.
