About the position

At Visual Edge IT, we are on a mission to build a winning team that achieves greatness, and we are looking for a Sales Compensation Analyst to join our ranks. This position plays a crucial role in the administration of sales compensation, which includes the calculation, submission, verification, approval, and payment of commissions and related performance incentive programs. The Sales Compensation Analyst will also assist in the strategic design and analysis to support the company's compensation policy, ensuring that our sales team is rewarded fairly and accurately for their contributions. The ideal candidate will develop processes to calculate and process sales commission and bonus payments for the organization. This includes assisting in the development, implementation, communication, and administration of sales compensation plans. The analyst will review and assess sales transactions to ensure the accuracy of financial information and its impact on compensation. Analyzing the financial impact of compensation plans and related changes will be a key responsibility, as will maintaining policies, procedures, and controls for commission and bonus payments, ensuring they are updated in a timely manner. In this role, you will provide ad-hoc compensation analysis and reporting as required, working closely with other business partners and departments to drive ongoing process refinement to improve the efficiency and accuracy of sales compensation calculations and reporting. You will partner with other departments when necessary to ensure accurate booking of more complex orders and drive continuous improvement by making recommendations for changes to compensation plans and processes. Additionally, you will provide guidance and training on compensation plan structures, reports, policies, and other relevant processes, troubleshoot and resolve compensation issues in a timely manner, and facilitate internal and external audits of sales compensation. Ultimately, you will assume responsibility for the integrity of the sales compensation data, ensuring that our sales team is supported and recognized for their hard work.

Responsibilities

  • Develop process to calculate and process sales commission and bonus payments for the organization.

  • Provide ad-hoc compensation analysis, and reporting as required.
  • Work closely with other business partners and departments to drive ongoing process refinement to improve the efficiency and accuracy of sales compensation calculations and reporting.
  • Partner with other departments when necessary to ensure accurate booking of more complex orders.
  • Drive continuous improvement; make recommendations for changes to compensation plans and processes.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of overall experience with a focus in sales, sales operations, analytics, or business operations.
  • 3 years of progressive experience managing end-to-end commission and bonus processes for a high growth sales team.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
  • Sales compensation management software experience, with Sales Scorecard preferred.
  • Strong strategic thinking and execution skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Ability to remain organized and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
