About the position

At NICE, we are seeking an experienced Sales Compensation Business Analyst to drive the full lifecycle of product deployments at our customer sites. This role involves gathering functional requirements and performing technical configurations for NICE's Sales Performance Management (SPM) products. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter who provides hands-on technical implementation services. This position is crucial in helping our customers leverage our sophisticated and complex products to enhance employee performance. In this role, you will translate customer business requirements into technical designs and product configurations. You will work closely with customer Sales and Finance organizations to model Sales Compensation in the NICE SPM software solution. Additionally, you will communicate and train others on NICE solutions, covering overall business value and detailed features and functionality. Implementing customer requirements using the NICE SPM software solution will be a key responsibility, along with leading and developing test cases and test data to ensure high-quality solution results. You will support both the customer and internal teams during the Acceptance Testing phase. Furthermore, you will contribute to the team's continual improvement process by preparing System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) documents, including deliverables checklist, business requirements, design diagram specifications, QA & UAT test plans, and lessons learned. This role may require up to 25% travel.

Responsibilities

  • Translate customer business requirements into technical designs and product configurations.
  • Work closely with customer Sales and Finance organizations to model Sales Compensation in the NICE SPM software solution.
  • Communicate and train others on NICE solutions, including overall business value and detailed features and functionality.
  • Implement customer requirements using the NICE SPM software solution.
  • Lead and develop test cases and test data to deliver high-quality solution results.
  • Support the customer and internal teams during all customer Acceptance Testing phases.
  • Prepare System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) documents, including deliverables checklist, business requirements, design diagram specifications, QA & UAT test plans, and lessons learned.

Requirements

  • Sales Compensation experience and a basic understanding of accounting principles.
  • Ability to conceptualize Incentive plan designs and make system recommendations for execution, including modeling and testing of plan design.
  • Prior experience with an ICM packaged solution such as SAP (Callidus), Xactly, or IBM (Varicent) or Excel, Access, or homegrown solutions.
  • Detailed analytical proficiency with exceptional MS Excel or Access skills, including the ability to work with formulas, calculations, and data.
  • Project experience working as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills and customer-facing skills.
  • Excellent organizational technique, with the ability to set own task lists and timelines.
  • Ability and willingness to work under pressure in a highly dynamic environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field (or equivalent).

Nice-to-haves

  • Technical skills in XML, SQL, HTML, ETL tools.
  • Experience implementing or using Enterprise applications (e.g., Avaya, Workday, SAP); EAI tools (e.g., WebMethods, Salesforce); reporting/business intelligence tools (e.g., Business Objects, Microstrategy); or database applications.
  • Strong grasp of how data affects processing flexibility.
  • Desirable previous experience in hands-on system implementations and deployments.
