About the position

As a CBRE Sales Consultant specializing in EV Solutions, you will play a pivotal role in the electrification consultancy sector. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of activities including site selection, grants and incentives management, and site acquisition. You will be involved in the design, engineering, and construction of EV charging infrastructure, ensuring that all projects are executed efficiently and effectively. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of the full project lifecycle, from initial planning through to operation and maintenance of EV charging stations. You will be expected to develop technical solutions that align with our EV Solutions offerings, acting as a subject matter expert within the EV Solutions Center of Excellence. Your contributions will be crucial in supporting business development, sales, and account management teams, ensuring that client solutions are clear and actionable. In this position, you will coordinate the bid management process, which includes developing Requests for Information (RFIs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and client presentations. You will also work closely with key stakeholders to refresh our go-to-market strategies in key markets, maintaining strong relationships with both existing and prospective clients. Your role will involve creating a culture of cross-selling and focusing on new business cultivation, while ensuring the accuracy of the sales pipeline and tracking systems. You will be expected to lead by example, demonstrating behaviors that align with CBRE's RISE values, and to engage consistently with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing commercial terms, including pricing and standard contract documents, which will serve as the foundation for negotiations. Your ability to analyze multiple sources of information and exercise sound judgment will be essential in this role, as will your willingness to innovate and improve based on customer feedback and market dynamics. You will also need to stay informed about the competitive landscape to effectively articulate CBRE's product differentiation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop technical solutions for the 'Design, Build & Electrify' portion of our EV Solutions offer.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in support of the Business Development, Sales, Solutions, and Account teams.
  • Coordinate the bid management process through the development of RFIs, RFPs, and client presentations.
  • Work with key stakeholders to refresh the go-to-market approach in key markets.
  • Maintain relationships with existing and prospective clients to establish strong personal credibility.
  • Create awareness and culture of cross-selling and improved focus on new business cultivation.
  • Ensure the accuracy of the pipeline and tracker.
  • Coach others and share in-depth knowledge of own job subject area and broad knowledge of several job subject areas within the function.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.
  • Explain difficult or sensitive information to stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5-8 years of relevant experience; a combination of experience and education will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strongly prefer experience in EV charging, particularly in infrastructure design, engineering, and/or deployment.
  • Proven track record in technical sales.
  • Preference for an electrical engineering background.
  • Experience with distributed renewable energy (solar) and battery storage is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead customer discussions towards problem resolution and transform business and technical requirements into clear, high-quality technical solutions for clients.
  • Strong project management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Financial fluency and acumen.
