About the position

The position at Winebow involves planning and executing sales strategies to meet revenue and brand goals while fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing existing accounts, generating new business, and building relationships across various internal departments to support customer needs. This role requires a proactive approach to sales, strong wine knowledge, and effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Planning, executing strategy, and meeting or exceeding revenue and brand goals as set by leadership.
  • Growing assigned territory with established accounts.
  • Generating new accounts in alignment with organizational objectives using available software and resources.
  • Building internal relationships with Customer Service, Accounts Receivables, Operations, and IT to support customers.
  • Cultivating wine knowledge through education assignments and company initiatives.
  • Demonstrating successful time management and self-motivation skills.
  • Organizing and attending events such as tastings, dinners, and sales meetings.
  • Fostering an inclusive team environment by developing positive relationships with diverse individuals.
  • Making 6-10 in-person account visits per day to consult with customers.
  • Completing administrative functions including daily assessments of shipping and A/R reports, setting up samples, and point of sale materials.
  • Ensuring orders are filled and shipping for the following day, and collecting payments from customers.
  • Hosting wine dinners, staff trainings, in-store tastings, and merchandising accounts.
  • Communicating with management and internal departments to achieve sales goals.
  • Expecting significant travel by automobile in most territories.
  • Engaging in physical activities such as lifting cases weighing up to 45 pounds and building displays.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years sales or marketing experience in on or off premise sales with proven wine and/or spirits knowledge.
  • High school graduate or GED diploma.
  • Goal-oriented, self-motivated, solution-minded, proactive, and a positive team player.
  • Demonstrated technical proficiency in IOS platform, Excel, Word, and Outlook; Diver and Core Commission experience preferred.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Possess a valid unexpired Driver's License.
  • Pass required pre-employment drug and background screenings.
