About the position

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Consultant to join our team at AMCON Distributing Company. As a Sales Consultant, you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, maintaining existing retail partner relationships, and achieving sales targets within the convenience industry. You will work closely with retail owners and operators, identifying their needs, offering solutions, and ensuring customer satisfaction. This role requires exceptional communication skills, a strong sales acumen, and a deep understanding of the convenience industry.

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with current customers through regular communication and follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct in-depth needs assessments to understand customers' business goals, challenges, and requirements.
  • Present product information and demonstrate its value, tailoring solutions to meet their specific needs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop customized solutions and promotional strategies to meet retail partner objectives.
  • Negotiate and close sales deals, ensuring profitability and fostering long-term business relationships.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets, consistently striving to increase revenue and market share.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to adjust sales strategies accordingly.
  • Prepare accurate sales reports, forecasts, and other administrative tasks as required.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to enhance brand awareness and expand the retail partner network.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
  • Proven track record of success in B2B sales, preferably within the convenience industry or a related field.
  • Solid understanding of sales principles, techniques, and best practices.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze market data, identify trends, and make informed business decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with a passion for sales and delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in using CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and sales tools.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the assigned market as required.
