About the position

As a Sales Consultant at LA Boat Dealer, you will be instrumental in assisting customers in selecting the ideal boat and accessories. This role emphasizes outstanding customer service and achieving sales targets, guiding customers through the entire sales process from initial contact to final sale.

Responsibilities

• Greet walk-in customers and respond to phone inquiries.
• Follow up on online leads using the dealership's CRM tools.
• Build strong relationships by understanding and addressing customer needs.
• Present and demonstrate boats and accessories, highlighting key features and benefits.
• Oversee the sales process from initial contact through to final sale, including preparing quotes and conducting trade evaluations.
• Work with the business manager to assist customers with financing options and requirements.
• Close sales and meet/exceed monthly and annual sales targets.
• Stay updated on boat models, brands, features, accessories, and industry trends.
• Offer excellent post-sale service to ensure customer satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
• Follow up with past clients to maintain strong relationships.
• Attend and participate in sales meetings, boat shows, and customer events, both on-site and off-site.
• Complete and maintain all necessary sales paperwork throughout the process.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software (Salesforce or similar).
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• MUST HAVE strong digital marketing skills and overall computer skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Prior experience in marine sales is a plus, but not required.
• A solid understanding of marine products, accessories, and boating trends is preferred.
