About the position

The Retail Furniture Sales Consultant at Haverty Furniture Companies, Inc. is responsible for providing consultative design assistance to customers, helping them create inviting home environments. This role emphasizes teamwork and customer engagement while consistently meeting sales goals.

Responsibilities

• Reinforcing customer selections and helping them complete their rooms
• Entering client information into the customer relationship management (CRM) system and conducting follow-up
• Explaining special financing plans, delivery procedures, warranties, etc.
• Coordinating delivery between customer and distribution/delivery system
• Maintaining knowledge of a broad range of furniture styles and products

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required; college education preferred
• 1-3 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to connect with diverse customers
• Highly organized with a responsive follow-up schedule
• Computer proficiency including email and MS Office software
• Ability to overcome customer objections
