About the position

The Sales Coordinator at Gellert Global Group plays a crucial role in supporting the Foodservice Sales Team by managing administrative tasks, facilitating communication, and ensuring smooth operations. This position is essential for helping the team achieve sales goals and maintain strong customer relationships, making it a key contributor to the overall success of the organization. The ideal candidate will be a proactive team player who can work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently in a hybrid work environment based in Elizabeth, NJ.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing, operations, logistics, and product managers to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives.
  • Create customer contracts and set up new items in the system.
  • Maintain and update customer records and sales databases (CRM, Exceedra, Infor M3), ensuring all information is accurate and current.
  • Compile and maintain sales reports, track wins, provide team updates, and conduct ad hoc analysis, including gap assessments.
  • Respond to inquiries related to products, credits, order status, invoicing, pricing, and inventory from customers and the sales team promptly, ensuring all questions are addressed efficiently.
  • Assist in the preparation and distribution of marketing materials and sales presentations.
  • Help organize and coordinate food shows, trade events, sales meetings, and other promotional activities.
  • Process sample requests, ensuring proper follow-up by tracking arrivals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or related field.
  • Prior similar internship experience is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to analyze data and reports.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and teamwork.
  • Strong interest in food; passion for culinary trends and product knowledge.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%.
