About the position

At Montage International, we are seeking a passionate Sales Coordinator to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in supporting the Sales Office and Group Sales Managers in achieving the department's long-term goals and objectives. The Sales Coordinator will be responsible for performing daily tasks that enhance customer service and maintain the integrity of our department throughout the resort. This includes providing excellent service to clients and their guests, managing third-party and direct bookings, and fostering long-term relationships with our accounts. The ideal candidate will act as an inside sales contact, assisting with group leads in the absence of the sales representative, and will also support sales initiatives across the office. Additionally, the Sales Coordinator will assist in preparing for travel and tradeshows, ensuring that all aspects of the sales process are handled efficiently and effectively. The Sales Coordinator will play a crucial role in maintaining visibility and integrity within the department, promoting cooperation to ensure that clients receive the service they expect. This position requires a proactive approach to customer service, with the ability to communicate effectively and resolve complaints independently. The successful candidate will be expected to establish and master goals, identify and assist in the development of accounts, and work independently with minimal supervision. Basic computational skills and proficiency in computer programs, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Delphi, are essential for this role. The Sales Coordinator will also be responsible for following notes and account entries from post-trade shows and telephone activity, requiring strong math skills and budgetary analysis capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service to clients and their guests, including third-party and direct bookings.

  • Support sales initiatives across the Sales Office, including daily client service.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Two years' experience in customer service in a hotel environment.
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to communicate customer needs and resolve complaints independently.
  • Ability to establish and master goals.
  • Ability to identify and assist in the development of accounts.
  • Ability to act independently with minimal or no supervision.
  • Basic computational ability and computer skills, including accounting programs, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Delphi.
  • Math skills and budgetary analysis capabilities.
