About the position

As the world works and lives faster, FIS is leading the way in the fintech industry. Our fintech solutions touch nearly every market, company, and person on the planet. Our teams are inclusive and diverse, working together and celebrating our achievements. If you want to advance the world of fintech, we invite you to consider the role of Sales Cost Controller. This position is responsible for budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for all costs associated with the enterprise-wide sales team. A key objective of this role will be to build labor expense and planning models that align with the FP&A organization’s models, allowing for standardization and efficiency gains through centralization. In this role, you will implement spend controls and forecasting techniques while working directly with regional sales leaders on travel and expense (T&E) and third-party subcontractor plans. You will own the approval processes, redesigning them where necessary, and report on pre-sales projects captured in the time tracking system. Additionally, you will coordinate the approval of sales requisitions for new and replacement hires, manage the headcount database for new hires and terminations, and ensure accurate classifications and payroll coding to enable reporting by line of business, location, and sales leader. You will also be responsible for forecasting monthly, quarterly, and annual headcount and costs, participating in the annual planning process, and collaborating with sales and revenue operations colleagues to build sales productivity versus cost metrics. Your role will involve running monthly forecast reviews of sales costs for each line of business, focusing on line-by-line P&L variance, capitalized versus non-capital commission expense, and headcount variance versus plan and forecast. You will highlight risks of overspend to initiate action plans for mitigation and distribute and present dashboards to sales leaders showing actuals versus forecast for hiring and travel costs.
