About the position

The Sales Counselor at Everstory Partners plays a crucial role in providing compassionate support to individuals and families during their end-of-life planning. This position focuses on delivering a customer-centric experience, guiding clients through the sales process for pre-planned and immediate funeral arrangements, and ensuring customer satisfaction while maximizing revenue in a commission-based environment.

Responsibilities

• Guide individuals and families through end-of-life memorial planning using sales presentations and tools provided by Everstory.
• Provide options to meet the unique needs of clients, including touring the location and advising on burial, entombment, cremation, memorials, and merchandise.
• Present all associated costs and advise on financing options, ensuring all financing is finalized prior to internment.
• Manage CRM and lead database, generating new leads through networking, online, and cold calling, and categorizing leads.
• Plan and conduct community outreach events to build relationships and generate new leads.
• Complete all required paperwork and authorizations to finalize sales and deliver services/products.
• Participate in supporting services at the location and attend sales meetings to communicate progress and results.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in Business, Marketing, or Sales preferred.
• 1 year of sales experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle for offsite appointments.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel and Outlook) required.
• Experience with CRM systems preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive information.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in the funeral or memorial services industry.
• Familiarity with community outreach and event planning.
