About the position
The Sales Counselor at Everstory Partners is responsible for providing compassionate support and guidance to individuals and families during their end-of-life memorial planning. This role involves selling products and services for pre-planning and immediate needs, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maximizing revenue in a commission-based environment. The Sales Counselor will utilize the Everstory sales process to create a customer-focused experience, manage leads, and conduct community outreach to generate new business.
Responsibilities
- Guide individuals and families through end-of-life memorial planning using sales presentations and tools provided by Everstory.
- Provide options to meet the unique needs of customers, including touring the location and advising on burial and cremation options.
- Present all associated costs and advise customers on financing options, ensuring finalization prior to internment.
- Manage CRM and lead database, generating new leads through networking, online, and cold calling.
- Plan and conduct community outreach events to build relationships and generate new leads.
- Complete all required paperwork and authorizations to finalize sales and deliver services/products.
- Participate in supporting services at the location and attend sales meetings to communicate progress and results.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in Business, Marketing, or Sales preferred.
- 1 year of sales experience preferred.
- Valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle required.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel and Outlook) required.
- Experience with CRM systems preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality with sensitive information.
