About the position

The Sales Counselor at Five Star Senior Living plays a crucial role in connecting prospective residents with a senior living facility. This position involves providing marketing information, conducting tours, and following up with potential residents and their families to facilitate their transition into the community. The Sales Counselor is responsible for establishing relationships, understanding client needs, and supporting the sales team to achieve community goals.

Responsibilities

  • Find prospective residents for a senior living facility and provide them with marketing information about the residence.
  • Help potential residents make appointments to visit the retirement community and conduct tours of the facilities.
  • Make follow-up calls to gauge interest in becoming a resident after tours.
  • Communicate with caregivers or family members to inform them about options for their loved ones and answer any questions.
  • Establish and maintain client relationships, discovering prospects' needs and desires.
  • Identify and communicate effective solutions to prospects' needs with the community's products and services.
  • Support the sales team to meet or exceed sales and move-in goals defined by the RDSM/RDO.
  • Conduct sales activities as requested by the Sales Director, including telephone follow-ups, tours, home visits, and sales calls.
  • Complete and maintain the Five Star CRM for all potential residents and referral contacts within 24 hours of activity.

Requirements

  • Experience in sales or a related field, preferably in senior living or healthcare.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with clients and families.
  • Ability to understand and address the needs and desires of prospective residents.
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems for tracking sales activities and leads.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience in senior living sales or healthcare sales is preferred.
  • Familiarity with the local community and resources available for seniors.
