About the position

The Sales Counselor at Everstory Partners plays a crucial role in providing compassionate support to families during their end-of-life planning. This position focuses on delivering a customer-centric experience, guiding individuals through the process of memorial planning, and selling relevant products and services. The Sales Counselor is expected to maximize revenue through effective sales techniques while ensuring customer satisfaction and managing relationships within the community.

Responsibilities

  • Guide individuals and families through end-of-life memorial planning using sales presentations and tools provided by Everstory.
  • Provide options to meet the unique needs of customers, including touring the location and advising on burial and cremation options.
  • Present all associated costs and advise customers on financing options, ensuring all financing is finalized prior to internment.
  • Manage CRM and lead database, generating new leads through networking, online, and cold calling.
  • Plan and conduct community outreach events to build relationships and generate new leads.
  • Complete all required paperwork and processes to finalize sales and deliver services/products.
  • Participate in supporting services at the location and attend all sales meetings.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in Business, Marketing, or Sales preferred.
  • 1 year of sales experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel and Outlook) required.
  • Experience with CRM systems preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive information.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the funeral or memorial services industry.
  • Familiarity with community outreach and event planning.
