About the position

This position focuses on refractory installation at customer locations, specifically for BOF, Blast Furnace, Tundish, and Ladles. The role involves regular maintenance of RHI Magnesita machines, improving sales turnover, supporting inventory management, and addressing customer concerns. The job requires adherence to safety protocols and effective communication with customers and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Provide refractory installation support and machine maintenance at customer sites.
• Adhere to safety requirements and use appropriate PPE at all customer locations.
• Assist with troubleshooting machinery and equipment.
• Engage in daily customer interactions regarding product sales and performance expectations.
• Track data related to RHI Magnesita products and competitor performance.
• Support inventory management functions through weekly counts at customer sites.
• Communicate daily with supervisors about customer developments, including threats and concerns.
• Submit weekly expenditure reports with a focus on cost-effectiveness.
• Check electronic communications daily and return calls within the same business day.
• Travel to different locations in Cleveland, Ohio, and Charter Steel, Ohio, as needed, including occasional overnight stays.
• Respond to after-hours urgent or emergency customer needs.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of refractory installation or experience in a steel mill or foundry preferred.
• Mechanical and electrical background.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite, especially Excel for data entry and reporting.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills for machinery maintenance.
