About the position

The SDE is responsible for delivering all technical documentation required for each opportunity, which includes a complete bill of materials with pricing, labor estimates, and a detailed scope of work. This position requires the SDE to attend both in-person and virtual customer meetings, ensuring effective communication and understanding of customer needs. The SDE will also be involved in site surveys to gather necessary design space details and will need to conceptualize and explain technology solutions to customers with varying levels of technical knowledge. The role involves reviewing RFPs in detail, identifying potential concerns, and submitting technical RFIs as needed. Deliverables must be of consistent quality and include detailed equipment bills of materials, labor estimates, and technical scopes of work. The SDE will utilize tools like Bluebeam and CAD for plan markups to coordinate infrastructure requirements and will participate in internal meetings to ensure knowledge transfer to the assigned Design Engineer after contract awards.
