About the position

The Sales Development Leader at Writer is responsible for building and leading a high-performing team of Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) focused on generating leads from CIOs, CTOs, and CMOs at Fortune 500 and Global 2000 companies. This role emphasizes coaching, guidance, and support to drive both individual and team success, with a strong focus on pipeline generation and establishing effective sales processes. The ideal candidate will possess a builder mentality and a passion for creating champions in the AI space, contributing to the company's culture and success.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively hire, coach, and inspire a team of global SDRs.
  • Partner with regional GMs, Sales, and Marketing leaders to create pipeline generation campaigns and strategies.
  • Track daily, weekly, and monthly activity metrics across various platforms such as phone, email, and LinkedIn.
  • Launch and refine new campaigns using an experimental mindset.
  • Utilize cutting-edge technology for outbounding to create customized experiences for prospects.
  • Create and refine SDR call scripts, email campaigns, outbound playbooks, and qualification frameworks.
  • Collaborate closely with sales and marketing teams to access senior leadership in Global 200 and Fortune 500 accounts.
  • Maintain accurate information in Salesforce to scale successful strategies.

Requirements

  • 5+ years leading a high-performing enterprise sales development team in a high-growth SaaS company.
  • Operationally excellent with experience in building and executing a value-based sales process.
  • Self-starter with an experimental mindset, capable of building processes from scratch.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Excellent written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with tools like Clay, Dripify, Apollo, Orum.
  • Experience with international teams.
