About the position

The Sales Development Manager will play a crucial role in the outbound sales team of a rapidly growing co-manufacturing client in the food manufacturing sector. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining positive customer relationships, conducting business development research, and ensuring customer needs are met with appropriate product solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in B2B sales, particularly in food manufacturing, and will be expected to travel monthly to support business growth.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers.
• Perform business development research to ensure steady growth of the organization.
• Identify customer needs to propose product solutions.
• Maximize sales by ensuring customer expectations are met or exceeded.
• Collaborate with various departments including production and R&D to ensure customers receive an exceptional overall experience.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, sales trends, and growth markets in the healthy snacking space.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of proven success in business to business (B2B) sales, with a strong focus on new client relationships and developing key accounts.
• Prior experience in private label and/or co-manufacturing sales required.
• Food manufacturing experience is highly preferred.
• Strong ability to communicate clear development strategies and approaches.
• Prior project management and cross-functional collaboration experience within manufacturing sales.
• Exceptional interpersonal communication and business partnering skills with a strong sense of motivation and hunter mentality.
• Able to effectively manage multiple projects and deadlines with excellent creative problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Business or related field preferred.
