About the position

The Sales Development Manager at NEOGOV is responsible for leading and developing a team of Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) to drive sales pipeline and optimize sales opportunities. This role involves collaborating with the revenue leadership team, setting team goals, and ensuring accountability in meeting objectives. The position is focused on motivating and coaching the SDR team, implementing sales strategies, and fostering a high-growth environment.

Responsibilities

  • Define team goals with sales leadership and ensure accountability in meeting those objectives.
  • Collaborate with the revenue leadership team to drive pipeline and optimize sales opportunities.
  • Develop team KPIs and dashboards to assist in making data-driven decisions and optimizing individual performance.
  • Perform quarterly performance and career development progress reviews with employees.
  • Hold regular one-on-one meetings to ensure goals are met and provide consistent, constructive feedback.
  • Help develop sales scripts, talk tracks, and product use cases to improve the quality and quantity of demo appointments scheduled.
  • Internalize and champion the NEOGOV mission, vision, and culture.
  • Participate in regular company and office meetings to share SDR progress, identify blockers, and drive resolution.

Requirements

  • 2+ years experience leading an SDR team in a SaaS sales environment.
  • Proficient with Salesforce & Outreach, maintaining data integrity and reporting on SDR activity and metrics.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to set expectations and communicate goals and objectives with customers and teammates.
  • Strong organizational and follow-through skills.
  • High level of personal accountability.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience selling into Public Safety/Public Sector is a plus.
  • Proven track record of success with a career path demonstrating increasing responsibility levels.
