About the position

The Sales Development Manager is responsible for leading a team of up to 15 direct reports, focusing on performance evaluation, strategic initiative execution, and coaching sales development representatives (SDRs) to achieve their sales goals. This role involves engaging with divisional and branch leadership to ensure alignment with sales strategies and objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Manages team members and helps drive achievement of planned sales goals.
  • Delivers all training content for new team members, including conducting sales role-play sessions.
  • Coaches team members to convert sales quotes to order opportunities and ensure positive movement in the sales cycle.
  • Recommends changes to sales techniques based on team sales best practices.
  • Ensures team members understand and comply with all team objectives, performance standards, and policies.
  • Approves timecards for team members and handles other time off operational requests within the Kronos system.
  • Answers questions regarding best practices or difficult calls from team members.
  • Identifies operational issues and suggests possible improvements.
  • Partners with branch and division teams to ensure strategic sales plans are achieved.
  • Monitors and evaluates rep performance, providing learning or coaching opportunities.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in a supervisory position with coaching sales team members.
  • Strong and professional communication skills; written, verbal, and presentation.
  • Proven business development success through effective use of core sales tools such as CRM, LinkedIn, and Microsoft Office (especially Outlook and Excel).
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and efficiently manage time while achieving goals.
  • Self-driven with a passion and a team-oriented 'Play to Win' attitude.
