Responsibilities

  • Develop a thorough understanding of the company's product lines and customer support.
  • Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up, outbound cold calling, and email/social media connections.
  • Maintain and expand the database of prospects within the assigned territory.
  • Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate Account Managers for further development and closure.
  • Understand customer needs and requirements.
  • Update job knowledge by studying new product descriptions and promotions; participate in educational opportunities.
  • Assist Account Managers with information gathering and quoting when necessary.
  • Call for updates from existing accounts.
  • Work with current Account Managers to include sales calls and visits.
  • Work with Account Managers throughout the quoting process to familiarize with internal processes.
  • Promote a customer-first attitude and go above and beyond for customers.
  • Show initiative and drive to learn the product, process, and customers.
  • Build positive, productive relationships with co-workers.
  • Push for continuous development in hard and soft skills.
  • Deliver technically competent product demonstrations and sales presentations.
  • Demonstrate persistence and ability to handle rejection.

Requirements

  • Associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 1-3 years of demonstrated success in a sales position.
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, listening, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to think outside the box to offer new ideas and solutions.
  • Desire to build a career in sales.
  • Valid driver's license must be maintained for future Account Manager position.
  • Unquestionable ethics and honesty.
