About the position

The Sales Development Representative 2 (SDR-2) at TEKsystems is a pivotal role designed to initiate and execute the early stages of the sales process. This position is ideal for individuals looking to build a career in B2B sales, particularly within the IT Talent Solutions and Services industry. The SDR-2 will undergo an extensive 10-week training program that combines online learning, business role plays, and real-time sales scenarios to equip them with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed. After completing the training, the SDR-2 will be responsible for researching and building call sheets of targeted customers, utilizing tools such as LinkedIn and internal resources to identify potential leads. They will document, track, and research all incoming leads from the Recruiter Lead Program, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of customer profiles and needs. In addition to outreach efforts, the SDR-2 will collaborate with the Director of Business Operations to utilize the Inward Lens tool for identifying lost customers, thereby generating new meeting opportunities. Success in this role is not only measured by the ability to perform these tasks effectively but also by the potential for promotion to an Account Manager position, where responsibilities will expand to include managing customer relationships, increasing sales and market share, and preparing effective sales proposals. The SDR-2 will play a crucial role in establishing customer needs and building intimate relationships with clients, ultimately contributing to the overall success of TEKsystems in delivering business outcomes and driving positive impacts in the community.

Responsibilities

  • Research and build call sheets of targeted customers using tools like LinkedIn.
  • Document, track, and research all leads from the Recruiter Lead Program.
  • Build customer profiles and talk tracks using tools like Seismic and Gong.
  • Perform outreach to targeted customer lists and document weekly activity.
  • Partner with the Director of Business Operations to identify lost customers and generate new meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree OR Military experience OR Associates Degree with 3 years of professional experience OR 4 years of professional experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of Sales Experience OR Degree in Sales OR Sales Internship Experience OR Active membership in a Collegiate Sales Club/ Organization.
  • Strong desire for a career in B2B Sales.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills for negotiations.
  • Sense of urgency, excellent presentation skills, and high standards of professionalism.
  • Ability to overcome obstacles and collaborate with others to achieve goals.
  • Strong propensity to learn.
