About the position

The Sales Development Rep-2 (SDR-2) at TEKsystems plays a crucial role in the initial steps of the sales process, focusing on building relationships and generating leads. This position is designed for individuals who are eager to kickstart their careers in B2B sales, with a strong emphasis on training and development. The SDR-2 will undergo an extensive 10-week training program that combines online learning, business role plays, and real-time sales scenarios to equip them with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in the role. During this training, the SDR-2 will learn to research and build call sheets of targeted customers using tools like LinkedIn, as well as resources such as candidates and current consultants. They will document, track, and research all leads generated from the Recruiter Lead Program, building comprehensive customer profiles and talk tracks for each customer using tools like Seismic and Gong. The role requires proactive outreach to a targeted customer list, with weekly activity documentation to ensure accountability and progress. Additionally, the SDR-2 will collaborate with the Director of Business Operations to utilize the Inward Lens tool for identifying lost customers, which will aid in generating new meetings and opportunities. Success in this role can lead to a promotion to Account Manager, where responsibilities will expand to developing and managing customer relationships, increasing sales and market share, and preparing effective sales proposals. Responsibilities

  • Execute initial steps associated with the sales process as an SDR-2.
  • Research and build call sheets of targeted customers using tools like LinkedIn.
  • Document, track, and research all leads from the Recruiter Lead Program.
  • Build customer profiles and talk tracks using tools like Seismic and Gong.
  • Perform outreach to targeted customer lists and document weekly activity.
  • Partner with the Director of Business Operations to identify lost customers using the Inward Lens tool.
  • Generate new meetings by building call sheets from identified lost customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree OR Military experience OR Associates Degree with 3 years of professional experience OR 4 years of professional experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of Sales Experience OR Degree in Sales OR Sales Internship Experience OR Active membership in a Collegiate Sales Club/ Organization.
  • Strong desire for a career in B2B Sales.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills for negotiations.
  • Sense of urgency, excellent presentation skills, and high standards of professionalism.
  • Ability to overcome obstacles and collaborate with others to achieve goals.
  • Strong propensity to learn.
