The Sales Development Rep-2 (SDR-2) at TEKsystems plays a crucial role in the initial steps of the sales process, focusing on building relationships and generating leads. The SDR-2 will undergo an extensive 10-week training program that combines online learning, business role plays, and real-time sales scenarios to equip them with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in the role. During this training, the SDR-2 will learn to research and build call sheets of targeted customers using tools like LinkedIn, as well as resources such as candidates and current consultants. They will document, track, and research all leads generated from the Recruiter Lead Program, building comprehensive customer profiles and talk tracks for each customer using tools like Seismic and Gong. The role requires proactive outreach to a targeted customer list, with weekly activity documentation to ensure accountability and progress. Additionally, the SDR-2 will collaborate with the Director of Business Operations to utilize the Inward Lens tool for identifying lost customers, which will aid in generating new meetings and opportunities. Success in this role can lead to a promotion to Account Manager, where responsibilities will expand to developing and managing customer relationships, increasing sales and market share, and preparing effective sales proposals.
