About the position

The Sales Development Representative 2 (SDR-2) at TEKsystems is responsible for executing initial steps in the sales process, focusing on building customer relationships and generating leads. This role involves extensive training and mentorship, with opportunities for career advancement into an Account Manager position. The SDR-2 will engage in research, outreach, and documentation of customer interactions to drive sales growth and market share.

Responsibilities

  • Research and build call sheets of targeted customers using tools like LinkedIn.
  • Document, track, and research all leads from the Recruiter Lead Program.
  • Build customer profiles and talk tracks using tools like Seismic and Gong.
  • Perform outreach to targeted customer lists and document weekly activity.
  • Partner with the Director of Business Operations to identify lost customers and generate new meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Military experience or Associates Degree with 3 years of professional experience or 4 years of professional experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of Sales Experience or Degree in Sales or Sales Internship Experience or Active membership in a Collegiate Sales Club/Organization.
  • Strong desire for a career in B2B Sales.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills for negotiations.
  • Sense of urgency, excellent presentation skills, and high standard of professionalism.
  • Ability to overcome obstacles and collaborate with others to achieve goals.
  • Strong propensity to learn.
