The Sales Development Representative 2 (SDR-2) at TEKsystems plays a crucial role in the initial steps of the sales process, focusing on building relationships and generating leads. This position is designed for individuals who are eager to learn and grow within the sales field, particularly in the IT Talent Solutions and Services industry. The SDR-2 will undergo an extensive 10-week training program that combines online learning, business role plays, and real-time sales scenarios to equip them with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in their role. Upon completion of the training, the SDR-2 will be responsible for researching and creating call sheets of targeted customers, utilizing tools such as LinkedIn and internal resources. They will document and track all leads generated from the Recruiter Lead Program, ensuring that all potential opportunities are captured and followed up on. The SDR-2 will also build comprehensive customer profiles and develop tailored outreach strategies using tools like Seismic and Gong. In addition to lead generation, the SDR-2 will collaborate with the Director of Business Operations to identify lost customers and strategize on how to re-engage them. This role is not only about generating leads but also about establishing a foundation for long-term customer relationships. Success in this position can lead to a promotion to Account Manager, where the individual will take on additional responsibilities, including managing customer relationships, increasing sales, and preparing effective sales proposals.
