About the position

The Sales Development Rep-2 (SDR-2) at TEKsystems plays a crucial role in the initial steps of the sales process, focusing on building relationships and generating leads. This position requires the successful completion of an extensive 10-week training program that combines online learning, business role plays, and real-time sales scenarios. After training, the SDR-2 will be responsible for researching and creating call sheets of targeted customers using tools like LinkedIn, as well as documenting and tracking leads from the Recruiter Lead Program. The SDR-2 will also build comprehensive customer profiles and develop talk tracks for each customer using resources such as Seismic and Gong. Outreach to targeted customers is a key responsibility, along with documenting weekly activities and collaborating with the Director of Business Operations to identify lost customers and generate new meetings. Success in the SDR-2 role can lead to a promotion to Account Manager, where the responsibilities expand to developing and managing customer relationships, increasing sales and market share, and preparing effective sales proposals. The Account Manager will also partner with the Delivery team to identify top IT talent to meet client needs. Responsibilities

  • Research and build call sheets of targeted customers in the market using tools like LinkedIn.
  • Document, track, and research all leads coming in from the Recruiter Lead Program.
  • Build overall customer profiles based on information learned and talk tracks for each customer using tools like Seismic and Gong.
  • Perform outreach to targeted customer lists and document weekly activity.
  • Partner with the Director of Business Operations to identify lost customers and generate new meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree OR Military experience OR Associates Degree with 3 years of professional experience OR 4 years of professional experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of Sales Experience OR Degree in Sales OR Sales Internship Experience OR Active membership in a Collegiate Sales Club/ Organization.
  • A strong desire for a career in B2B Sales.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills for negotiations.
  • A sense of urgency, excellent presentation skills, and a high standard of professionalism and character.
  • The ability to overcome obstacles and collaborate with others to accomplish goals.
  • A strong propensity to learn.
