About the position

As a Sales Development Representative at TEKsystems, you will play a crucial role in the sales process by learning and executing all associated steps. This position is designed for individuals who are eager to develop their sales skills and contribute to the growth of the company. You will partner with the Delivery team to identify top IT talent that meets client needs, thereby increasing sales and market share through both assigned and newly generated accounts. Your responsibilities will include identifying, developing, and managing new and existing customer relationships, utilizing resources such as Salesforce and Hoovers to enhance your outreach efforts. In this role, you will be expected to contact and meet with prospective customers to establish their needs and hiring cycles, fostering a customer-centric relationship. You will also prepare and present sales information and effective proposals tailored to customer requirements. This position offers a dynamic and diverse culture within a strong team environment, providing ample opportunities for continued education and professional growth. With a competitive base salary and an uncapped commission structure, the potential for unlimited earnings is a significant aspect of this role. Additionally, you will receive thorough sales training within the IT Talent Solutions and Services industry, working closely with an assigned Account Manager Lead as a mentor to guide your development.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Delivery team in identifying top IT Talent to fulfill client needs
  • Increase sales and market share through assigned and newly generated accounts
  • Identify, develop and manage new and existing customer relationships by leveraging resources including but not limited to Salesforce and Hoovers
  • Contact and meet with prospective customers to establish customer needs and hiring cycles
  • Prepare and present sales information and effective proposals for customers

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree OR Military experience OR Associates Degree with 3 years of professional experience OR 4 years of professional experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of Sales Experience OR Degree in Sales OR Sales Internship Experience OR Active membership in a Collegiate Sales Club/ Organization
  • A strong desire for a career in B2B Sales
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills which can be leveraged in areas of negotiations
  • A sense of urgency, excellent presentation skills and a high standard of professionalism and character
  • The ability to overcome obstacles without becoming discouraged and readily collaborate with others to accomplish goals
  • A strong propensity to learn is necessary
