As an Outbound Sales Development Representative at Vonage, you will play a crucial role in driving the growth of our API business unit, which focuses on providing customizable, omnichannel communications solutions. Your primary responsibility will be to create, identify, and qualify new sales opportunities, ultimately scheduling meetings with qualified prospects to pass on to the direct sales teams. This position is vital as you will be the first point of contact for potential customers, helping to generate a robust sales pipeline and refine our sales and marketing strategies based on your interactions and successes with prospects. In this role, you will engage in various prospecting activities, including lead generation and qualification through multiple channels such as phone calls, emails, and social media platforms like LinkedIn. You will utilize creative research methods and sales tools to identify new leads that align with our product offerings and market needs. Tailoring sales campaigns will be essential, as you will need to research prospects' goals, market trends, and pain points to create customized outreach materials, including email templates and presentations. Your ability to qualify customers' needs and challenges will be critical in understanding how Vonage API solutions can assist them. You will maintain detailed records of client interactions in our CRM system and collaborate closely with marketing, account managers, and sales leadership to ensure consistent messaging and alignment in territory strategy.
