About the position

SelfPublishing.com is seeking a passionate and driven Sales Development Representative to join our team in Austin, TX. Our mission is to empower purpose-driven individuals to achieve their goals through writing and publishing books. We provide a comprehensive suite of services including online education, group and individual coaching, accountability, and done-for-you services. Our goal is to help 100,000 people publish a book by 2035, impacting over 120 million lives through what we call "Leveraged Impact." This role is crucial as we currently have more qualified leads than we can effectively manage, and we need someone who can convert these warm leads into customers efficiently and effectively. As a Sales Development Representative, you will be responsible for making outbound calls to prospects who have already shown interest in our resources for authors. This includes individuals who have attended webinars, purchased our materials, or engaged with our various tools designed to support aspiring authors. Your primary objective will be to understand their goals, identify any obstacles they face, and set up no-cost appointments with our publishing strategists. These strategists will delve deeper into the prospects' needs and explain our programs, ultimately guiding them towards enrollment in SelfPublishing.com if it aligns with their objectives. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and is eager to contribute to the development of a growing sales team. Responsibilities

  • Make outbound phone calls to prospects who have opted into our resources for authors.
  • Understand the goals and challenges of aspiring authors during consultative calls.
  • Set up no-cost appointments with publishing strategists for deeper engagement with prospects.
  • Drive conversion of warm leads into customers for SelfPublishing.com.
  • Contribute to the growth and development of the sales team by providing input on processes.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of high performance as a sales representative.
  • Minimum of $250,000 in sales of any product or service in the past.
  • Experience with CRM and sales processes.

Nice-to-haves

  • At least 5 years of high performance sales experience, selling $250k+ per year.
  • Minimum of $1M in lifetime sales of any product or service.
  • Experience with low ticket, high volume sales (e.g., $5k max sales price, 1-2 call close).
