About the position

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) at Compass Group is responsible for generating highly qualified sales opportunities and advancing them through the sales funnel within a designated territory. This role involves leveraging various sales and lead generation techniques, collaborating with outside sales directors, and utilizing technology and social media to establish relationships and set appointments. The SDR plays a crucial role in driving the growth of the business by identifying potential customers and qualifying their needs.

Responsibilities

  • Setting appointments for the outside sales team
  • Developing outreach strategies and establishing relationships with honesty and integrity
  • Utilizing multiple online resource platforms
  • Leveraging technology and social media skills including CRM, Microsoft Suite, and communication platforms
  • Collaborating with outside sales directors to identify and contact prospective customers
  • Setting goals with the line manager to meet yearly KPIs
  • Creating relevant collateral with marketing and creative teams
  • Maintaining consistent persistence in outreach efforts
  • Performing daily outreach via a multi-channel approach to new prospects
  • Conducting limited research on organizations for lead generation
  • Gathering and communicating industry, market, customer, and competitive information
  • Reviewing analytics from monthly email campaigns and following up on opportunities
  • Utilizing social media tools to engage prospects with Compass Group news and updates
  • Maintaining accurate and timely notes in the CRM
  • Meeting and exceeding quarterly and annual performance targets

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Previous short sales cycle prospecting experience is a plus
  • Tenacious spirit in prospecting
  • Ability to be persistent and navigate objections
  • Comfortable leading with phone/text in prospecting
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong research skills and ability to translate information into resonating statements
  • Highly organized and timely with follow-up
  • Tech and social media savvy
  • Adaptable and energized by change
  • Motivated, self-starter who thrives in a remote setting
