About the position

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) at GoSecure plays a crucial role in the sales process by focusing on prospecting and outreach to identify potential clients who may benefit from the company's cybersecurity products and services. Reporting directly to the VP of Sales, the SDR is responsible for generating qualified sales-ready leads (SRLs) through a 100% outbound approach. This involves reaching out to enterprises that have not previously engaged with GoSecure, understanding their needs, and effectively communicating the value of the company's offerings. The SDR will execute multi-touch prospecting strategies, utilizing various channels such as phone calls, email campaigns, social media platforms like LinkedIn, and market research to connect with prospective clients. The role requires designing targeted outreach campaigns to obtain contact information and establish initial professional connections. The SDR will educate potential clients about GoSecure's portfolio, address any objections, and conduct strategy calls, demonstrations, and assessments to qualify leads. In addition to lead generation, the SDR is expected to maintain a strong understanding of cybersecurity trends and the competitive landscape to build credibility with prospects. The position involves building a pipeline of opportunities within a designated territory, with a target of generating over $4 million in business over two rolling quarters. The SDR will document all sales activities in Salesforce.com, make over 80 outbound calls daily, and work towards achieving personal and team goals while regularly reviewing performance metrics with management to identify areas for improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Generate qualified sales ready leads (SRLs) for the new business team.
  • Seek out and connect with enterprises who have not purchased from GoSecure historically and define their need for GoSecure's products and services, 100% outbound focus.
  • Execute multi-touch prospecting to identify and target prospective clients (leads) and create new lead channels.
  • Design targeted outreach campaigns leveraging phone, email, social media (like LinkedIn), market research, and other creative approaches to obtain contact information for prospective clients.
  • Establish initial professional connections with prospective clients, communicate GoSecure's value proposition, educate on GoSecure's portfolio of products and services, and remove initial objections.
  • Conduct strategy calls/consultations, demonstrations, fit assessments, technical calls, and analysis to determine if the lead is viable (i.e. a qualified SRL).
  • Pass qualified SRL to the Account Executive (AE) to close business.
  • Gain, maintain, present, and articulate a working knowledge of cybersecurity and industry trends sufficient to establish credibility.
  • Build current and future pipeline in respective assigned territory ($4M+ for rolling 2 quarters minimum).
  • Document all touchpoints and sales-related activities in Salesforce.com.
  • Make 80 plus outbound calls per day.
  • Attain assigned personal and team goals.
  • Regularly review key performance metrics with management to identify areas for growth and opportunities to constantly improve on results (i.e. quality SRLs passed to AEs).
  • Additional duties as assigned by the VP of Sales.

Requirements

  • Ability to communicate effectively with both high-level decision makers and technical influencers.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Energy, enthusiasm and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Experience selling technology solutions a plus.
  • Salesforce.com experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field and/or equivalent education/experience.
  • Entry level position.
